Environmental Business Journal V15 No.11/12 Global Market

The U.S. is the world's largest environmental market but the growth rate has slowed down compared to some other regions. These regions, such as China, Central and Eastern Europe, are pushing for stricter environmental regulation and therefore offer numerous opportunities for the environmental businesses. The U.S. exports of environmental products and services have leveled off in the past few years, but the observers say the U.S. firms are still very competitive and simply needs to exercise more perseverance to achieve presence in overseas markets.

This issue of EBJ discusses the opportunities and challenges faced by the U.S. environmental firms in expanding into the global environmental markets. Also found in this issue are profiles of select regions and countries, with numerous data tables to supplement the analyses.
