The Directory of Waste-to-Energy Facilities includes a comprehensive listing
of waste-to-energy and various related steam plants that recovery energy
from refuse throughout the US. Each facility profiled includes information
on name, location, days and hours of operation, area served, startup date,
types of waste accepted, tipping fee charged, daily volume and the names
and addresses of both the facility owner as well as facility operator.
The book comes in downloadable zip format, which includes an Adobe
Acrobat (*.pdf) file and an Excel spreadsheet (*.xls) file. All facilities
are geocoded with latitude and longitude coordinates to facilitate plotting
them on any of variously available mapping programs.
